Process of a drone light show Our expert designers create a captivating storyboard, collecting images and emotions into a final story, which is then animated and choreographed. Once everything is set, our skilled pilot team operates the ground control station, sending instructions to the drones. As they take off, they paint the sky with a breathtaking display, bringing the storyboard to life.

Wings of Blue USAF Skydiving Team

Wings of Blue Demonstration Team is hand selected to represent the Air Force and Armed Forces. They are put through rigorous training on freefall and canopy flying, smoke systems, flag systems, and formation flying maneuvers.

The Wings of Blue Demonstration Team shows are specially tailored each time to accommodate the show site. Popular demo maneuvers include the Wings of Blue bombburst, in which each jumper performs a 180 degree turn and tracks in separate directions creating an incredible burst effect, or Canopy Relative Work where the jumpers will join their parachutes together and fly as one. Additionally, jumpers fly streamers and a massive 800 square foot American flag!

Each demonstration is complemented with a special soundtrack and narration for full crowd enjoyment. Upon landing, the demonstrators will move to the crowd where they will sign autographs, take pictures, and answer questions.

You can find these after the Morning Launches and during the evening Balloon Glows!

These Remote Controlled Hot Air Balloons are scale model hot air balloons that range in size from 25-35 feet tall, flown using a liquid propane burner. The balloons can be used in numerous ways such as education, sport, advertising, recreation, special events and more. No matter which way you decide to use Model Balloons, you can expect the fun to be the center of attention.

2024 Concert Series - Cody Cozz

Nashville Recording Country Artist Cody Cozz returns to Labor Day Lift Off! Residing in Nashville, Tennessee, originally from Pueblo, Colorado, Cody is currently signed to Grindstone Records under country music legend, Craig Campbell. Cody released his first national single “On My Way” to radio in 2022. The “On My Way” music video premiered on CMT shortly after the song’s release in June of 2022. Cody was a 2022 nominee for the Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards New Artist of the Year and won the 2022 Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards Fan Army Award. He broke the record for most the most fan votes to date. This is a regional award show displaying some of country music’s best in a nine-state region.

Cody has worked with many country music stars such as Jon Pardi, Clay Walker, Michael Ray, Mitchell Tenpenny, Craig Campbell, Matt Stell, Easton Corbin, Josh Turner, Heath Sanders, Rascal Flatts, Love and Theft, Ned LeDoux, Jerrod Niemann, Josh Ward, Koe Wetzel, Mike Ryan, Aaron Watson, Tracy Byrd, Jordan Davis, and more.

2024 Concert Series - Winchester Road

New this year to Labor Day Lift Off – Winchester Road brings all the country dance hits to you! Winchester Road is a Colorado Springs based band and is the embodiment of country music’s timeless spirit. Composed of seasoned musicians, each a master in their craft, the band seamlessly blends classic, ‘90’s, and contemporary country with Red Dirt and Southern Rock influences. Their lead singer, a 24-year Air Force Veteran, brings a unqiue perspective and commanding presence to the stage. Bands like this are few and far between, so if you get a chance to see them, do it – you won’t be sorry!

2024 Concert Series - Missy and The Dirty Secrets

Missy and the Dirty Secrets is a Colorado Springs female-fronted rock group, featuring Missy Cowan on vocals. They perform 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s and frequently play in the Colorado Springs area. We are excited to have Missy & the Dirty Secrets back this year after winning Battle of the Bands in 2022. Join UpaDowna this Labor Day Weekend!

What: Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) instruction and rental. UpaDowna will provide 1 hour of instruction, gear, and an opportunity to take our SUPs out for a ride! Rentals will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
