2023 Concert Series - Cody Cozz

Cody Cozz is a 24-year-old Nashville Recording Country Artist. Residing in Nashville, Tennessee, originally from Pueblo, Colorado, Cody is currently signed to Grindstone Records under country music legend, Craig Campbell.  Cody released his first national single “On My Way” to radio in 2022. The “On My Way” music video premiered on CMT shortly after the song’s release in June of 2022. Cody was a 2022 nominee for the Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards New Artist of the Year and won the 2022 Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards Fan Army Award. He broke the record for most the most fan votes to date. This is a regional award show displaying some of country music’s best in a nine-state region. 

Cody has worked with many country music stars such as Jon Pardi, Clay Walker, Michael Ray, Mitchell Tenpenny, Craig Campbell, Matt Stell, Easton Corbin, Josh Turner, Heath Sanders, Rascal Flatts, Love and Theft, Ned LeDoux, Jerrod Niemann, Josh Ward, Koe Wetzel, Mike Ryan, Aaron Watson, Tracy Byrd, Jordan Davis, and more.  

2023 Concert Series - The Martini Shot

THE MARTINI SHOT is a six-piece, horn-powered, Pop-Rock cover and original band based out of Southern Colorado. The Martini Shot has released four original projects with major influences of Barenaked Ladies, Reel Big Fish, Foo Fighters, 311, and many others. The band’s covers are high energy pop tunes in which they add horns to give it the “Martini Shot flavor”. Recognized as Southern Colorado’s Hottest Band, The Martini Shot are staples at local festivals and event series. Some of the band’s awards include the 2018 Best of Pueblo (Pueblo Chieftain), the 2015 Best of the Springs (Colorado Springs Gazette), and the 2013 Best Cover Band (Indy Music Awards – Colorado Springs Independent). The Martini Shot has had the privilege to open for Eddie Money, Blue Öyster Cult, Foghat, Firefall, Pure Prairie League and Great White. The band was established in 2000 with a majority of the members consisting of current or former local music teachers. The name, “Martini Shot,” refers to the Hollywood slang term for the last shoot of the day.

You can’t deny it; country music has changed. It’s lost its purity, and lost touch with its roots. We decided to do our part to change that. We concentrate on country music with a classic sound, a mix of Outlaw, Red Dirt, and Southern Rock, with a little Bluegrass thrown in for fun. If you are seeking something pure, upbeat, and fun, let us come show you what we are doing to rescue country music. We can keep it upbeat for dancing, or slow it down, with a mix of some of the great artists of yesterday and today. Grab your boots, buckles, and hats… it’s going to be a party!

Missy and the Dirty Secrets is a Colorado Springs female-fronted rock group, featuring Missy Cowan on vocals. They perform 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s and frequently play in the Colorado Springs area. We are excited to have Missy & the Dirty Secrets back this year after winning Battle of the Bands at last year’s event.  We are ready for them to bring their fun energy to the Labor Day Lift Off! Wings of Blue USAF Skydiving Team

Wings of Blue Demonstration Team is hand selected to represent the Air Force and Armed Forces. They are put through rigorous training on free­fall and canopy flying, smoke systems, flag systems, and formation flying maneuvers.

The Wings of Blue Demonstration Team shows are specially tailored each time to accommodate the show site. Popular demo maneuvers include the Wings of Blue bomb­burst, in which each jumper performs a 180 degree turn and tracks in separate directions creating an incredible burst effect, or Canopy Relative Work where the jumpers will join their parachutes together and fly as one. Additionally, jumpers fly streamers and a massive 800 square foot American flag!

Each demonstration is complemented with a special soundtrack and narration for full crowd enjoyment. Upon landing, the demonstrators will move to the crowd where they will sign autographs, take pictures, and answer questions.

 

Aerial Acorbats

Aerial Aura is a Colorado Springs-based group of aerialists who entertain at festivals, corporate events, private parties, charities, and fairs throughout Colorado and the US. Their performances captivate audiences of all ages and add an element of excitement to every event.

You can find these after the Morning Launches and during the evening Balloon Glows!

These Radio Controlled Hot Air Balloons are scale model hot air balloons that range in size from 25-35 feet tall, flown using a liquid propane burner. The balloons can be used in numerous ways such as education, sport, advertising, recreation, special events and more. No matter which way you decide to use Model Balloons, you can expect the fun to be the center of attention.
