Labor Day Lift Off Parking Sponsored by Children’s Hospital Colorado

PikeRide is offering a secure, convenient, and FREE bike valet for all festival-goers Saturday, August 31 to Monday, September 2. Whether you bring your own bike or opt for a PikeRide electric assist bike, you can soak in the balloon sights, entertainment, and festivities without worrying about parking. Just ride your bike to the event, and PikeRide will handle the rest!

Valet services will be available from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and from 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday.

*Please pick up your bike before 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and before 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Any bikes left with us after closing will be collected and can be retrieved by contacting PikeRide.

Public Parking Lot Directions

-Follow these directions to avoid detours due to road closures-

  • From I-25 take exit 138 for Lake Avenue toward Circle Drive
  • Head east on S Circle Dr 
  • Continue on S Circle Dr for approximately 2.5 miles and turn left on Airport Rd 
  • Head west on Airport Dr, keeping left on Airport at the Printers Pkwy intersection
  • Continue west on Airport Dr and approach the checkpoint at the Eastlake Blvd intersection
  • After the checkpoint, proceed west to turn north on Union Blvd
  • Follow the signs to the Aquatics Lot
  • From I-25 take exit 139 for US-24 E
  • Head east on US-24E & take the Union Blvd exit 
  • Turn left (north) onto Union Blvd
  • Turn left (west) onto Fountain Blvd
  • Turn right (north) onto Hancock Ave
  • Turn right (east) onto Cimarron St to Prospect Lake Dr
  • Continue on Prospect Lake Dr until you reach traffic control personnel who will direct you to Parking the Beach House Lot
  • From I-25 take exit 142 for Bijou St
  • Head east on Bijou St and keep right to stay on Kiowa St
  • Turn right (south) onto Cascade Ave
  • Turn left (east) onto Colorado Ave & head east; Colorado Ave will become Pikes Peak Ave
  • Continue on Pikes Peak Ave in the right lane, turn right (south) on Hancock Ave and then left into the Rose Bowl Lot after approximately 100 yards
  • From I-25 take exit 139 for US-24 E
  • Head east on US-24E & take the Union Blvd exit 
  • Turn left (north) onto Union Blvd
  • Turn left (west) onto Prospect Lake Dr/Eastlake Blvd 
  • Continue on Prospect Lake Dr/Eastlake Blvd where traffic control personnel will direct you to Parking the Lake South Lot
  • From I-25 take exit 142 for Bijou St
  • Head east on Bijou St and keep right to stay on Kiowa St
  • Turn Left (north) onto N. Cascade Ave
  • Turn Right (east) onto E. Platte Ave.
  • Turn Right (south) onto Union Blvd.
  • Turn Left (East) onto Pikes Peak Ave; then merge right onto Printers Pkwy
  • Turn Right (West) onto S. Parkside Dr. and continue till you see the Vista Lot on your left
  • From I-25 take exit 143 for Uintah St
  • Head east on Uintah St to Union Blvd
  • Turn right (south) onto Union Blvd
  • Continue on Union Blvd. in the right lane to Pikes Peak Ave. where traffic control personnel will direct you to Handicap Parking & Tour Bus Parking inside Memorial Park

LDLO Tour Bus Pass

PRICING – $300 per tour bus 

Companies or individuals who purchase the bus pass receive:

  • A reserved drop-off and pick-up location with direct access to the Balloon Launch Field – closer than any other Labor Day Lift Off parking lot.
  • All chartered buses have reserved parking along Union Blvd between Memorial Drive and S. Parkside Drive, approximately 100 yards from the drop-off/pick-up location and must remain parked there for the duration of the event. No exit and re-entry will be permitted due to traffic control restrictions.

Drop-off and Pick-up must occur between the following times:

Saturday, August 31
5:00am-10am (Morning Session 1)
3:30pm-10pm (Glow Session 1)

Sunday, September 1
5:00am-10am (Morning Session 2)
3:30pm-10pm (Glow Session 2)

Monday, September 2
5:00am-10am (Morning Session 3)

Road Closures

Traffic around Memorial Park will be impacted due to temporary road closures from 5:00-9:30 a.m. daily and 3:00-11:00 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday.

  • E. Pikes Peak Ave. between S. Hancock Ave. and N. Union Ave. (closed to all traffic)

  • N. Union Blvd. between E. Pikes Peak Ave. and Eastlake Rd. (closed to all traffic)

  • S. Hancock Ave. between E. Pikes Peak Ave. and E. Vermijo Ave. (closed to all traffic)

  • All streets and alleys running north to south between E. Kiowa St. and E. Pikes Peak Ave. from S. Hancock  Ave. to N. Union Blvd. (closed to thru traffic)

  • E. Cucharras St. and E. Vermijo Ave. between S. Cedar St. and S. Hancock Ave. (closed to thru traffic)

  • Interior Park Road: Farragut Ave. between Hancock Ave. and Pikes Peak Ave. (closed to thru traffic)

  • Interior Park Road: Sports Drive between Hancock Ave. and Farragut Ave. (closed to thru traffic)

  • Interior Park Road: Sports Drive between Hancock Ave. and Farragut Ave. (closed to thru traffic)
